This is the much sought after W2213 "Peregrine" A4 Class Locomotive in North East Wartime Black, running number 4903. Introduced by Basildon in Period 3, this continued in Production through Period 4. This with  "Gannet" and "Sparrow Hawk" are the only A4,s that Wrenn did in Wartime Black . This example was issued in Early Period 4 circa  1980/1, and has the normal gold/red transfers for numbers/letters. Most of these examples suffered from transfer loss, this example does not hence my comment on condition. Has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.

Comes complete with P4 box, tissue, packing rings, and Blue Instruction Manual. The underneath of the inner box has a faded Packer No stamp in red ink correct for Period 4 Basildon issue.  

Condition of Locomotive/box is "excellent to near mint",  for their age.
