This is a superb Wrenn W.2297 "Blue Star" Rebuilt Merchant Navy Class Locomotive in BR Green, running number 35010.

Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1990 only 152 were made before factory closure in 1992. This example is from the 1990 build, has seen minimal layout use with all transfers/lining in place. Has the striking "etched plate shields" which were standard factory fitted..

Coms complete in Period 4 Box, including packing rings, tissue and blue Instruction booklet. The underneath of the inner box has a faded Packer number stamp "Packer No 2  90415" indicating 15th week, 4th month, 1990 Wrenn Basildon issue date.

 Condition is "near mint" considering age.
