This is a Hybrid of an original Hornby Dublo "Canadian Pacific" (C/P) finished body (EDL2) in Black satin with a modified Wrenn City chassis and 5 Pole Motor. It is rumoured that the body was one of a few  produced for the 2nd generation of Hornby Dublo Canadian Pacifics before the Meccano, Liverpool factory closed in the 1960,s. Anyway, it looks superb in LMS Black Livery (yellow/red highlighted numbers/letters) and would add variety ie Canadian Flavour! on any 2 Rail Layout. This all diecast combination including tender had Modifications to both body and chassis which provides for excellent performance.

When Wrenn, Basildon took over the tooling from Meccano during the 1960,s was this included in the transfer and if so why did they not expand the range into the North American market. They collaborated with Lima with N gauge for Europe and this lucrative expanding market.

NOTE : The "cow catcher" on the front of the Locomotive is in perfect condition.  The Locomotive/tender comes in a Hobby Box with standard Wrenn tender coupling, and Hornby Dublo coupling conversion kit for the tender should you require it.
