This is a superb example of the RARE Wrenn W.2271 LNER 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive, running number 9025. Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1983, only 144 were issued between 1983 and 1989, This is from the 1985 build. This was apparently not popular when issued by the Basildon factory hence its low production figure and Rarety today. As with all Period 4 Locomotives it has metal rimmed wheeled bogies. Has seen minimal layout use if any, with ALL transfers/lining in place.

Comes complete with Period 4 box, tissue, packing rings and blue instruction booklet, The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 3 05832" indicating 32nd Week, 8th Month, 1985 as issue date.

Condition of Locomotive/Box is "near mint  to mint" for their age.
