This is an excellent example of the popular Wrenn W2219 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive in LMS Red, running number 2679. Introduced by Wrenn. Basildon in Period 2 (Triang/Wrenn) era., several thousand were produced before factory closure in 1992. Most were produced through Periods 2/3 this being a Mid P3 example (Circa 1974/5).. This has the standard yellow lining prior to the brighter versions in the P4 issues. It is however, unusual to find this earlier version is this condition as many are "play worn" this is not and has seen minimal layout use in my opinion. .

 As with all Period 3 Locomotives it has "metal rimmed" wheeled bogies throughout.

Comes complete with original box, tissue, packing rings, Hornby Dublo coupling conversion kit,  and blue Instruction Manual The bottom of the inner box has the usual sellotape residue marks and "Packer No 3" stamp in black ink  indicating correct P3 Basildon issue. .

Overall Condition is " excellent to near mint " for its age.
