This is an excellent example of the Wrenn W2262 "Grenadier Guardsman" in BR Green, running number 46110. Advertised by Wrenn, Basildon in Period 3 like the W2261 "Black Watch" they did not come into production until early Period 4.(circa 1981). Approx 1000 were produced by Wrenn,  the last example 1990, before Basildon closure in 1992. Most examples came from the earlier years 1980 - 1984 and are "play worn", this is not. This example is from the early P4 issue (Circa 1981/2)  and these are  becoming difficult to find today in this condition. An essential part of the collection and/or running passenger operations on your OO Gauge Layout.

The Locomotive/tender  comes complete with Period 4  box,  inner box, tissue, packing rings, single Royal Scot instruction sheet and blue Instruction Manual. The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 2 " in red ink indicating Period 4 Basildon issue date.
