This is a great example of the Wrenn W.2212AM2 5 Pole "Sir Nigel Gresley" A4 Class Locomotive in LNER Garter Blue, running number 4498. This has the MK2 Chassis (Large and Centre Wheels flanged)  and 5 Pole motor (Green segment type). Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1987, only 170 were produced during 1987/88 and 1992. This is a very difficult Locomotive to find today, this particular example being from the first 1987 Basildon build in my opinion. Has seen minimal layout use and spent most of its life in a cabinet  by the previous owner who unfortunately miss laid the top box.

Comes complete with a correctly labelled P6 Replacement Wrenn, Cheshunt top box, original Period 4 inner white Box, tissue, packing rings and blue Instruction Manual. The original inner white box is stamped "Packer No 3 07311" indicating 11th week, 3rd month, 1987 as correct date of Wrenn, Basildon issue.

Condition of the Locomotive/tender is "near mint", box is "excellent" for its age.
