This is a superb example of the Wrenn W2404 Limited Edition "Mallard" A4 Class Locomotive produced by Wrenn, Basildon in Period 4. This is No 181 of a planned production of 250, this particular example from the 1988 build. Running number is 4468 in Garter Blue LNER livery. This was to celebrate the 50th Anniversary an essential part of Mallards history. 

The Locomotive/Tender comes complete with;

• Limited Edition Certificate (Number 181)
• Limited Edition Plaque " 1938 - MALLARD - 1988"
• Plinth and Track Section
• Blue Instruction Manual

and is supplied in a Period 4 box, correctly stamped in red ink one end "W2404 MALLARD LIMITED EDITION".

The underneath of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 3 08727" indicating 27th week, 7th month, 1988 as date of Wrenn, Basildon issue. 

Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint to mint" for their age.
