This is a superb example of the rare W2264/5P Royal Scot Class "Lancashire Witch" 4-6-0 in LMS Maroon, running number 6125. Advertised by Basildon in Period 3, they actually appeared with limited production during Period 4 (1984 - 1992) with only 286 produced  before factory closure. This particular example is from the Period 4 1990 build and has the Wrenn 5 pole motor fitted as standard. No 3 Pole versions were ever issued. For those who collect different 5 pole armature types this is the earlier P4 green, which was replaced by the brown in mid 1991 in my opinion.

The Locomotive/tender comes in a late Period  4 box, including packing rings, tissue paper, Instruction Manual, and Single page Royal Scot Instruction Sheet .The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 2 90834" indicating 34th Week, 8th Month,1990 Basildon issue date. 

Overall Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint " for their age.
