This is an excellent example of the much sought after Wrenn W2246 Caledonian Railways 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive in Caledonian Railways Blue. Running number is 2085.Basildon introduced this Locomotive in late Period 3 and continued production through Period 4. This Locomotive was the only 2-6-4 that Wrenn produced in Caledonian Railways Livery. This example is from the early 1982 build and has the SILVER PAINTED buffers as opposed to the earlier black type issued in late Period 3.(circa 1978/9). Although over 1000 were produced these mainly were seen in the earlier years of production and the the silver painted buffer version is rare to find in "near mint" condition. This example has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.  

This example comes in original Box, and includes tissue, packing rings and Instruction Manual. The underneath of the inner box is stamped  "Packer No 6" in red ink indicating early Period 4 Basildon issue.(circa 1982). 

Condition of the Locomotive/box is "near mint",  for their age.
