This is a superb example of the rare Wrenn W2229/A 4-6-2 8P "City of Manchester", City Class Locomotive in BR Blue - Mk 1 version. Running number is 46246. Introduced by Basildon in early Period 4, this Locomotive was only produced between 1980 to 1984. Although just over 350 were produced, and hence this Loco has become very difficult to find today for the collection and running. Has seen minimal layout use in my opinion, all transfers/lining in place.

The Loco/tender comes in its original Box , and includes tissue, packing rings and Instruction Manual. The underneath of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 1 00219" in red ink, indicating week 19, 1982 Basildon issue date

Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is " near mint  ",  for their age.
