This is a superb example of the much sought after and VERY RARE W2266/A " City of Wells" Golden Arrow Bullied Pacific in BR Green. Running number 34092. Please note this is the original Golden Arrow version with adornments. The front G/A shield fixing is drilled through the front boiler box, not glued on as the conversion kit provides. This Locomotive has the later orange lining, late 3 Pole Armature, chromed pole pieces, triple pick-up arrangement,, and Blue thick pickup wire to the motor correct for the later P4 issue era. Only 108 were issued between 1991/2 before Basildon factory closure in 1992. Has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.
The Locomotive/tender come complete with late Period 4 box, tissue, packing rings ,Instruction Manual and Single page Instruction Sheet. The stamp on the underneath of the inner box is "Packer No 2 8 292" indicating 8th Week, 2nd Month 1992 as date of Wrenn, Basildon issue
Overall Condition of Loco/Tender/box is "near mint " for their age.
