This is a superb example of the  Rare and much sought after Wrenn W2272 LMS Maroon 8F Locomotive, running number 8016.This was produced by Basildon between 1983 and 1992 and although it is claimed that 268 were issued, I suspect the production was less based on my experience as a collector.. All transfers and lining in place and has seen minimal layout use in my opinion.

This is the ideal for the collection and/or the "workhorse" for freight operations on any "OO Gauge" Layout. 

This comes in a  Period 4 box, and includes packing rings, tissue, and original blue  Instruction Manual. The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 3 05320" indicating 20th week,.5th month, 1983 Basildon issue date.

NOTE: The box end stamp on this range of the Wrenn 8F always included the running number 8016.     

 Locomotive/tender/box are " near mint  ",considering their age.
