This is an excellent example of the Wrenn W2266/A "City of Wells" Golden Arrow Locomotive in BR Green, running number 34092. Please note this is the original Golden Arrow version with adornments ie.The front G/A shield fixing is drilled through the front boiler box not glued on as the conversion kit provides. As with all P4 Locomotives it has "metal rimmed" wheels throughout and has minimal layout use in my opinion.
This example comes from the Period 4 Wrenn Basildon build (circa 1987). The factory at Basildon produced a total of 798 between 1982 and 1992 before closure, however to find them in this condition is becoming rare to find today.
The Locomotive/tender comes complete with Period 4 box, tissue, packing rings and blue Instruction Manual. The underneath of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 3 07207" " in black ink indicating 7th Week, 2nd Month, 1987 as Basildon issue.
Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint to mint" for their age.
