This is a superb example of the Wrenn W.2281 8F 2-8-0 Locomotive in War Department Grey, running number 302.

Introduced by Wrenn, Basildon in 1988, only 207 were produced before closure in 1992.

One of only three production Locomotives that Wrenn produced in the colour Grey, known as one of the "3 Greys" by collectors and a "must" for the layout or collection.

Comes complete with Period 4 box, packing rings, tissue and blue Instruction Manual. The bottom of the inner box is stamped "Packer No 2 89312" indicating 12th week , 3 month, 1989, as Basildon issue date.

Condition of the Locomotive/tender/box is "near mint to mint",  considering their age.  

NOTE : As a collector this is one of the best examples I have seen of the Wrenn Grey War Department 8F.
